One of the most popular games for the Nintendo DS are the brilliant brain training games which offer mental exercises which can improve your brain function.
The Brain Training games judge your brain as you complete tasks and it then gives you a brain age, this is an indication of how well you are performing. The idea is to get this age down by doing the exercises every day which should improve your memory and other brain functions and allow you to do the tasks quicker which will give you a better score. With regular use you should see an improved mental function. with a better memory and the ability to do calculations much quicker than you ever could before.
The tests in the Brain Training games are also fun and use the Nintendo DS to the full. You have to draw answers on the touch screen instead of selecting them like in other games and this adds fun and they also use the microphone well as you often have to speak the answers with the games having some very good voice recognition.
And as a bonus they also include other mini games such as Sudoku which is also very good for the brain and you can also save several profiles so that the games can keep track of the whole family's mental improvements.
